We are proud to announce that Assistant Professor James Sohn recently attended the 2nd Emerging Leaders in Academic Medical Physics Symposium held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
This esteemed program selected only 16 junior faculty members from around the world, and we are delighted that Dr. Sohn was among this distinguished group.
The symposium provided a unique opportunity for participants to engage with renowned mentors in the field and network with peers from various institutions. During the event, Dr. Sohn received valuable advice on leadership and career development in academic medical physics. He also had the chance to share experiences and insights with fellow junior faculty members, fostering potential future collaborations.
"It was an incredibly enriching experience," Sohn remarked. "Meeting with mentors and colleagues from diverse backgrounds has reinvigorated my passion for research and teaching. I'm excited to bring these new perspectives back to our program at the University of Chicago."
This symposium not only recognizes Dr. Sohn's contributions to the field but also highlights the quality of our GPMP. We look forward to seeing how this experience will further enhance his research and mentorship, contributing to the continued excellence of our program.
Congratulations to Professor James Sohn on this significant achievement. His participation in this symposium reflects well on our program and reinforces our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders in medical physics.
