I joined the GPMP in the Autumn of 2019 after finishing my Bachelor of Science in Physics and Biophysics (honors thesis), and minoring in religion, from the University of Michigan. I am currently a PhD candidate in Dr. Sam Armato’s lab, working on the implementation of deep learning on medical images. Specifically, I analyze the performance of deep nets when segmenting mesothelioma on CT scans and classifying COVID-19 status on chest radiographs.
Outside my academic work, I enjoy watching and playing football and basketball, reading fiction and sci-fi, watching movies and shows, volunteering, and Chicago’s nightlife.
